Sonakshi Sinha act in 'Race 2': Newcomer Sonakshi Sinha is not wasting anytime capitalizing on her popularity after her appearance in the hit movie Dabangg with Salman Khan, and now the actress has signed up for Race 2. Directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Ramesh Taurani, Race 2 also stars Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.Sonakshi is definitely ready to take on new roles and told Hindustan Times, "Oh yes, there's more to me than the demure 'gaon ki sehmi-sehmi' Rajjo in Dabangg." In Shirish Kunder 's Hindi remake of the Tamil flick Kick, Sonakshi will once again star opposite Salman Khan. And in Shirish Kunder's 3D movie Joker she will work with Akshay Kumar.

But two new projects are not enough and Miss Sinha has now set her sights on Race 2. The movie that is set to start shooting next year is still missing one actress as producer Ramesh Taurani explains, "Yes we have finalised Sonakshi along with Deepika for the female lead and are now on the look out for one more actress to play the role of the female character."

Priyanka Chopra was also considered for a part and the Bollywood belle sure makes the perfect candidate to join the cast of Race 2. It was first reported that Priyanka was very excited about getting this offer and was trying to find dates to work on the movie. But it turns out PC's schedule was already booked to the max and Dips took over.

The third actress won't be Katrina Kaif either as director duo Abbas-Mustan wanted to cast Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor and give the rest of the cast the boot! That would mean that Kat wasn't coming back, which would make sense as she dies in the first movie. Do you think Sonakshi Sinha is a good choice for Race 2?
