The actress who played Sabrina Lall in Raj Kumar Gupta's most awaited film 'No One Killed Jessica' decided not to meet Sabrina while doing this film.

"I didn't meet her before the film," said the actress. According to Vidya, it was a mutual decision taken by her and her director Raj Kumar Gupta who wanted the focus to be on their interpretation of Sabrina.

"What we have borrowed from the real life case is the legal journey. But the emotional journey is something that is a work of Raj and mine. We worked on the character on our own. It's Raj's interpretation that I fell back on so I didn't have to meet Sabrina," said Vidya, who is busy promoting NOKJ.

Vidya reveals that she met Sabrina recently after completing NOKJ. The actress informs that she got to know Sabrina more after meeting her. "I did get a chance to meet her recently and I was quite overwhelmed at that point," she concluded.

The actor, whose tax payment grew from Rs 4.5 crore in the corresponding period in 2009 to 2010?s Rs six crore, has others like Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor for company in the club of celebs whose tax payments have risen year-on-year.However, 2010?s October-December period does not seem to be so happy for celebs like Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, whose advance tax payments have declined in 2010, an Income Tax source said.

As against the Rs 4-crore in advance tax he had paid in 2009, Aamir Khan paid Rs 3.70-crore 2010 while Hrithik Roshan’s advance tax payment dropped by half to Rs 1-crore, the source said.Ranbir Kapoor paid Rs 2.5-crore in advance tax versus 2009?s nil but the source was quick to point out that in 2009 the star from the Kapoor clan had chosen not to pay any advance tax in this period.However, the source said that these are preliminary numbers as the deadline for filing returns is on Wednesday.

Advance tax payment system is a way of staggered payment of taxes and is kept for the benefit of tax-payers who find issues arranging a large amount at the end of each fiscal.Generally, the advance tax payments – which happen on a quarterly basis, are seen as a barometer of the tax payer’s yearly income.

Investment banker Hemendra Kothari donated Rs.2.43 crore towards the cause and Hyderabad-based Chirec School raised Rs.220,000.

“What an incredible day! Just back from the Telethon for Save Our Tiger campaign. 12 hours non-stop live television. Collecting funds for the most important and noble cause. Thoroughly excited with what transpired. Collected approx 5 crore Rupees. Gave personal belongings for auction - two of my favourite sun glasses and a watch of mine. The glasses went for 1.25 lakhs, and 70,000 rupees. The watch went for 7.20 lakhs. And all for the cause of saving this beautiful animal,” wrote Amitabh on his blog.

“A feeling of great satisfaction to be a part of this effort and a great education for me on what the preservation of the tiger means to all of us. Truly very committed individuals that have been pushing this very important cause for years and finally seeing something concrete being taken up,” he added.

Director of Wildlife Conservation Trust Anish Andheria said that the funds raised from the telethon could deploy 35 rapid response teams (RRTs) and cover all the 38 tiger reserves in the country. The population of tigers in the country is reduced to an alarming1411 today.
