The 25-year-old starlet has separated from Rupert Friend, who she has been dating since they worked together on 2005’s “Pride & Prejudice,” according to PEOPLE Magazine.
The mag says the duo shared a London home on the edge of Hyde Park, but led to a break up after Knightley purchased a house in the South of France.
“It was time for her to move on,” a source told PEOPLE.
Even Knightley’s father weighed in, saying The Sun, “They were together for quite a long time, and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”
Speaking of her work, Knightley will next be seen in two 2010 films that are finalizing distribution plans: “Last Night” with Sam Worthington, and the crime thriller “London Boulevard.”
