Amrita Arora and Shakeel Ladhak are throwing a big party tonight at their Bandra residence on the terrace.

Says a guest, "While Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are in Switzerland, her best friend Amrita is throwing a big party tonight to bring in the New Year.

About 40 people have been invited including Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia, Tusshar Kapoor, Abhishek Kapoor (Gattu), Anu and Sunny Dewan, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan, Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, Nandita Mahtani and Dino Morea, Kajal Anand (Putlu), designer Shabina Khan and Neelam Kothari."

A few of Shakeel's friends including Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Queenie Dhody and Farhad Taraporewala will also be there.

Amrita's sister Malaika Arora Khan won't be able to attend as she will be performing at the Sahara hotel in Amby Valley. "By the time Malaika finishes the event it will be too late for her to come to the party."

Amrita and Shakeel's favourite restaurant will cater for the evening.

"The menu will include turkey, shworma and there will be have a dessert counter with apple crumble with maple syrup and chocolate fondue as some of the desserts, " reveals our source.

Kareena-Saif stay together in 300 year old Swiss chalet

Kareena Kapoor loves being eco-friendly. She left last night for Switzerland on a 10-day trip with beau Saif Ali Khan.

The couple will be staying at a chalet-hut owned by the Gstaad Palace which runs on solar energy.

Says a source, "Bebo and Saif believe in preserving the eco-system in their own way. Last year, she had promoted eco-friendly handbags. Every year, they re-cycle their fir trees during Christmas.

This year, Kareena and Saif will be staying for a few days at the Gstaad Palace in Switzerland and then shift to a wooden hut (the Walig Hut) built like a small 18th century chalet at 5000 feet above sea level.

The 300-year old hut has been carefully restored with basic plumbing and solar-powered electric lighting. Saif loves skiing, so every year the couple have been spending their New Year's on the Swiss Alps."

The chalet-hut is very expensive costing over £1, 000 per night for two adults. This includes a sumptuous three-course meal with wine and champagne.

SRK says no to Priyanka

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is doing a film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Two States’. It will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiawala.At first, this project was suppose to direct by Siddharth Anand with Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead parts. Both Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan has left out this venture, and now it is the turn of Priyanka Chopra. As per reports, Shahrukh Khan has suggested the director not to cast Priyanka as heroine in the film as story demands a fresh face.

The director decided for it and so Priyanka opted out of the venture. Now, the director is in search of new face.However, no regrets for Priyanka as she already acted with Shahrukh in ‘Don’ and also pairing with him in ‘Don 2′ which is yet to be released. The plot of the movie is the story of a couple coming from two various states of India fell in love with each other and how they convince their parents for their marriage.

Saif Ali Khan holding up for Kareena Kapoor to declare yes to marriage: cThere has been enough discussion about Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage! We have heard lots of statement from both of them but none of them have given real indication about the time they would tie the knot.

Saif has already taken the marriage vows once and is happy with two kids from his former wife Amrita Singh. So, it seems there is no hurry from his side and Kareena is also at the peak of her career and is only 30 now. The hottest couple of Bollywood does not seem to be interested in tying the knot at this moment considering their career is going great.

However, Saif is quite intelligent and shifted the question towards Kareena, saying that he is ready to take the vows once Kareena is comfortable and happy with it. The couple has been dating since last three years and the question has been haunting them since then. Saif once made it clear that Bebo is not required to convert herself before getting married to him, so there is no problem in this aspect. She has also reached a comfort level with his two kids and family, so no barrier there too.

So, why is Kareena taking time to say yes to ‘chote nawab’? She has given enough to Bollywood and can easily continue her journey in the industry even after turning ‘choti begum’, considering the fact that Saif’s mother and sister are actresses themselves.

Saif says that he will remain committed the same way even if he is not married to Kareena but we think the lady should come out with a serious decision very soon. In 2009, Bebo was quoted saying that she would get married by 2012 and would like to have two kids. We hope she sticks to her decision!

Saif Ali Khan credits Amitabh for his Bollywood raid: Even though Saif Ali Khan is veteran actress Sharmila Tagore's son, the actor says he joined the Indian film industry chiefly because of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The 40-year-old actor is all set to work with Amitabh in Prakash Jha's next 'Aarakshan'. This is the second time that both the actors will share screen space after the 2007 film 'Eklavya: The Royal Guard' 'I joined films pretty much because of Amitji so it's always an absolute honour to work with him and I'm glad I got another opportunity to get associated with him,' Saif told reporters here.

Big B too was elated to know about Saif's thoughts and revealed that he felt honoured after hearing what Saif had to say. 'I have worked with Saif in 'Eklavya', that was my first association with him. I am really honoured and privileged to know that he feels that I was in someway responsible for his entry into this film industry. I'm delighted to work with him again,' said the 68-year-old star.

Amitabh also remembered some of the moments that he spent with Saif.

'Today, I remember one of the very old moments. Saif was six-seven years old and he had visited my sets when I was shooting a song in Filmcity. Sharmila ji, his mother, said that he wanted to be with me and see the shooting.

'He was a very confused looking youngster then, who stood at the top of the hill, sitting on a rock all by himself and watching the shooting. From then on I have watched him grow so brilliantly to a fine actor with a lot of variety in every performance,' revealed the actor.

'Aarakshan' also stars Deepika Padukone, Prateik and Manoj Bajpayee and will go on floor Jan 15. It is based on policies of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions.

Saif Ali Khan loses his iPod

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is very distressed these days. The reason is he was upset because he missing his iPod at the Goa airport most recently. Sources close to the actor notify that his iPod contained important information. The actor had documented not only his schedules for his movies. And he did not even have a backup.

Saif is maha upset that he has lost most of the important details but hopes that the information will not be misused or leaked.“Losing an iPod also means that he will have to reschedule his complete work strategy and re-do a lot of things which is a tedious task for him.Besides his iPod, the actor has also lost oodles of weight, changed his hairstyle and redesigned his entire body language.

Will Saif pop the question to Bebo?

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has the perfect New Year gift in mind for Kareena Kapoor. The Chhote Nawab is planning to whisk away his girlfriend for a romantic getaway to Switzerland, where the two will bring in the New Year together.The year’s ended on a happy note for Kareena – whose Golmaal 3 is one of the largest hits this year.

And as a reward for all the hard work, the couple will be treating themselves to an indulgent vacation. “It’ll be all play and no work,” says Saif. “We’ve had a super-busy year and we want to bring in the New Year leaving aside all work responsibilities,” he adds.

Though the two have just returned from London, it was hardly a vacation there, discloses Saif.

No heroine for movie with Saif Ali Khan

After the debacle of Break Ke Baad, things don’t seem to be going right for Kunal. Besides a movie with Saif, sources also have it that Kohli desires to make small budget movies with Mumbai as the backdrop. And, to add to his woes, there are no takers for these little budget movies either.But, before he can get on to that bunch of movies, he still has to sort out his present movie, and maybe prove himself with a hit at the box office, hopefully.

The problem is that the as yet untitled film needs a leading lady. And no one has been signed on for it yet.Our source said that the shoot will only begin after an actress has been brought on board. Even Saif being part of the film doesn’t seem to be a large enough draw for the actresses, after the failure of Break Ke Baad.
