Deepika turns 25 today

Deepika Padukone from Bangalore turns 25 today.The stunning Capricornian is on a backpacking trip through Europe along with her boyfriend Siddharth Mallya.The pair left for London to ring in 2011.2010 was an eventful year for Deepika with as many as five releases: Karthik Calling Karthik, Housefull, Lafangey Parindey, Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

Only one of the five did good business at cinemas, but Deepika says she had something to learn from each and every movie.But more admirable than anything is how she came to terms with her break-up from Ranbir Kapoor. Rather than being depressed, she immersed herself in work and made new friends, including Siddharth Mallya.

Their budding association was to be seen during the IPL, when she cheered for Mallya’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore.This year, she is looking at a several interesting roles, including one in Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan.

Even though the film will mostly kick off only after Jha finishes Aarakshan, Katrina is super-excited at the prospect of re-uniting once again with Prakash Jha. The actress believes this to be her most challenging role till date.
