Preity Zinta’s second innings as tv host

Shahrukh Khan is back with ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’, Madhuri has come all the way to Indian from US to judge a reality show and also Mallika is also set to explore the Telly-world.The list does not end here. Last we reported of Hrithik Roshan debuting on tv with international level dance reality show and now the new entrant on the list is Priety Zinta.

Preity Zinta was previously rumoured to host a cricket-based show on television during IPL but now the actress too will be seen hosting international level show. We hear she is going to be part of the show, which is version of the international format Guinness Book of World Records. It will have Indians taking on world record holders.

Is SRK the top paid host on TV ?

The TV show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ which was first wanted to Saif Ali Khan, will now be hosted by SRK as Saif has refused for it Shahrukh Khan. Sources say that Shahrukh Khan is really charging Rs.2.5 crore per episode of the show.Main industry sources say that with this large amount, SRK definitely becomes the top paid tinsel town hero to host a Television show.

Bollywood greats like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan himself have hosted several shows, and the amount that they get for each episode was a matter of great debate and speculation, until now. However, the figures now favour Shah Rukh Khan’s side.A source from the show discloses, “No one will speak freely about how much he is earning, but SRK charging Rs.2.5 crore definitely seems a believable figures.

As of now what can we expose is that Shahrukh Khan is for 4 weeks, Monday to Thursday, and if calculate it, he is getting Rs.40 crore for 16 episodes. Bring on the superstar who can charge so much even after his last stint on TV (Kya Hum Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain) was panned and did not get the TRP that he got during Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
