Anushka Sharma has asserted that Ranveer Singh is too self-ingested: The actress confirmed to The Times of India that she is not in a relationship with her Band Baaja Baaraat co-star. "Ranveer is too self-absorbed to be in a relationship," said Sharma. "But that is understandable considering it's the beginning of his career and that needs his complete attention. I need someone who can give me enough time."The stars had been the subject of media speculation that they were together during the shooting of their 2010 surprise hit.

Singh explained: "I am single. Anushka and I are good friends, she is a lovely girl but we both are focussed on our careers right now."Sharma recently stated that she would rather be known for her work in Hindi film than her relationship status or magazine cover appearances.
