Controversies walk hand-in-hand with the Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan! Even before he could get out of one, he sees himself in another. The allegations from Salman Khan about his sorry being fake were not over yet, a latest debate surrounding the Income Tax (IT) department has caught his sleeve. The IT department has summoned Shahrukh Khan over his Signature Villa on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The house is worth Rs 17.84 crore.
Media news suggest that the Villa was a gift by Nakheel Public Joint Stock Company for promoting itself. But the company has refused any such turn of events. It said that Shahrukh has not provided any professional services for them. The IT department had released a notice last month, stating that the company was using Shahrukh’s popularity to promote the project since 2004.
Seems like the IT department has set its eyes behind the major names. Previously ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with actors Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Suniel Shetty and Fardeen Khan were opened up for stamp duty evasion. Now it’s the King Khan himself.
